My first experience with ReSkin was during a presentation at a training camp in Benicassim, in February 2008. I was very interested, because the product claimed to be very helpful against seating problems. This problem occurs often: you go on training camp at the beginning of a season, and you have to ride for many hours... which is not always a good thing for the buttocks! This was the case during that particular training camp in 2008. The day after the presentation I tried the product, and, to be honest, it was a disappointment at first. I didn't sit comfortable and the irritation and pain didn't go away. I could have stopped with ReSkin, but it was told to me I should give myself the time to learn to know the product. I followed this advice, and I started using the product during stage races with long stages. Once you get the hang of it, once you know how to use it properly, it works perfectly. Especially during rainy days the patch prevents from a lot of suffering. ReSkin really prevents from the "sandy" friction between the skin and the shammy. Even on places with blisters, like the hands, ReSkin works perfectly. I would also like to point out that I use ReSkin after crashes as well. There's nothing as irritating as a wound that sticks to your clothes. Now I place ReSkin on top of the wounds, and... problem solved. When the wound is very wet, you can place something absorbing on top of it. The wound can start to heal, and if you remove ReSkin, the wound doesn't open up again. If you ask me, ReSkin is a top product, maybe a little expensive for daily use, but certainly a must-have in your back-pack. |
